The forum, scheduled to take place in London from May 17 to 20, 2026, will be held under the theme: “Education for a Shared Future: Peace, Planet, Purpose, and Pathways.” The theme highlights the role of education in building resilient, inclusive, and future-ready societies, a goal that aligns with Lebanon’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its education sector.

The significance
Lebanon’s participation in the forum comes amid ongoing efforts to modernize and improve its education system, which faces challenges ranging from economic constraints to infrastructure gaps. Engaging in international platforms allows the Ministry to showcase reforms, learn best practices, and connect Lebanese education priorities with global strategies.
The forum is expected to bring together ministers from around the world, along with international organizations and experts, to discuss how education can address global challenges including peacebuilding, climate resilience, and equitable access to learning.
