A new chapter in Middle Eastern tech is unfolding. Velents.ai, an enterprise AI startup, has raised $1.5 million to launch Agent.sa, the region’s first fully integrated Arabic-speaking AI employee.
The funding round attracted prominent angel investors, including senior executives from Google, BCG, and other global firms, signaling growing interest in AI solutions tailored for the region. Velents is already preparing a new funding round expected in early 2026.
So, what makes Agent.sa unique? Imagine a colleague who never sleeps, never takes a coffee break, and understands not just Modern Standard Arabic but the nuances of regional dialects. Agent.sa can handle phone calls, WhatsApp messages, data analysis, order tracking, and more, all without translation layers.
Mohamed Gaber, Velents’ co-founder and CEO, says:
We are not just building a tool, we’re delivering a real digital employee who works alongside human teams.
Agent.sa also integrates with over 20 systems, including CRMs and payment gateways, supporting teams across customer service, sales, and technical support. Data stays local: Saudi data remains in the Kingdom, and Egyptian operations stay in Egypt, fully complying with local regulations.
Velents started as a recruitment platform and relaunched in 2023 to offer AI-driven solutions for attracting top talent. Today, it serves clients across Egypt and Saudi Arabia, including private companies, universities, and government ministries.
As AI adoption grows in the Middle East, tools like Agent.sa show how technology can be tailored to local languages, dialects, and business practices, helping businesses integrate AI into daily operations while keeping compliance and data protection in focus.
